Anita C. Radcliffe Named Beaufort County Finance Director/CFO

News Release:

    Beaufort County is pleased to announce that Anita C. Radcliffe has been named the new Finance Director/CFO for the County. She will replace Mr. Mark Newsome who announced his resignation last month.

    Mrs. Radcliffe has served as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Washington since 1999 and is a North Carolina certified Finance Officer. She holds a B.S. in accounting from East Carolina University and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker license. She is a resident of Pinetown and is very active in her Church, where she has taught Sunday School since 1998 and has previously served as the Church Clerk.

    "We are very pleased to have Anita join the County in the role of Finance Director/CFO. She is extremely knowledgeable of local government finance and has a work ethic that is unmatched," said Brian Alligood, County Manager.

    In her role as Finance Director/CFO, Mrs. Radcliffe will oversee the activities of the Finance Department including the accounting and reporting of revenues and expenditures for both the general fund and the enterprise funds, management of the County's investment funds and preparation of the annual budget in conjunction with the County Manager. She will begin her duties with the County on January 11, 2016.
