Governor and First Lady Will Host Christmas Open House at Executive Mansion to Benefit Homeless Pets and Shelters


News Release:

    Raleigh, N.C.     Governor Pat McCrory and First Lady Ann McCrory cordially invite everyone to a Christmas Open House at the Executive Mansion, Saturday, December 19, to benefit homeless pets in North Carolina's animal shelters.

    "At this time of year, we need to remember the animals and lend a hand to the volunteers and shelters who care for homeless pets 365-days a year," Governor McCrory said.

    Everyone is asked to bring a donation of tennis balls, leashes, collars and numerous other items on the Christmas wish list for the pets and shelters.

    Gates will open at 10 a.m. and the Open House will run until 11:30 a.m. A RSVP is required by December 17 at http://governor.ncgov/pets.

    Photo identification will be needed to enter the Executive Mansion grounds located at 200 North Blount Street in Raleigh.
