Jones Votes for Congressional Review of Iran Nuke Deal

News Release:

WASHINGTON, D.C.     Today, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) voted for H.R. 1191, the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015, which passed the House 400 to 25. The bill passed the Senate last week 98-1, and allows for congressional review of any deal President Barack Obama reaches with Iran over Iran's nuclear program. The legislation now goes to the White House, where it is expected to be signed into law.

"It is very important that Congress and the American are able to review the details of the Obama administration's deal with Iran over her nuclear program," said Congressman Jones. "It's about time Congress holds the Obama administration to its promise of transparency--especially concerning a deal with a country like Iran over such a critical issue.
